Batsen Reshigah started a new journal at the beginning of his and Devi Ravi's gym circuit run. It is titled, somewhat appropriately, The Grand Adventures of Batsen Reshigah and Devi Ravi.
Entry the First
There comes a time, in the life of every Togian, when one must release oneself from the terrible bonds of normalcy and do something brash and irresponsible, bizarre and unreasonable, reckless and foolhardy. To fail to do so is tantamount to denying one's destiny, ignoring one's culture, and relinquishing one's very soul. In short, it is to not truly understand what makes Togi uniquely the greatest place the island of Sehto has ever seen.
My dear reader, that time has come now into both my life, and that of Devi Ravi, my excellent travelling companion. We have set off on this grand journey, not merely to discover the world, but to discover ourselves as well. So that this tale of adventure might be remembered in some far-off future, I have decided – with perhaps some prodding from Devi – to chronicle it here, in this very journal.
May we all look back on this some day and laugh.
Entry the Second
First stop on our journey was Njoty. Maybe that much would be obvious.
God my hands are still shaking, sorry if this is illegible my dear reader.
Anyway, at Devi's urging we decided to try our hands at the pokégym in the Science Centre. It's like a jungle in there – so many different kinds of plants I've never seen before. My battle was a lot more serious than I was expecting it to be – though that's at least partially my own fault I think. Long story short, Cecile's Yanma and my Houndoom Jakuth very nearly killed each other. I'm writing this in the Pokécenter while waiting for
Oh thank God, Jakuth is okay. I was really terrified for a moment there.
It's starting to get late and we decided we should keep moving. I'll write more about Njoty later, when I have time and my hands have stopped shaking.
