Sehto's second people were Xhosa, who superceded the Kyza and lived and continue to live on Sehto from around 800. After obliterating the Kyza, they were sole occupants of the island until around 1400, when Johto settlers came to the island - and fortunately did not completely destroy the culture. These days, the Xhosa subculture of Sehto, while a definite minority, can be said to be thriving alongside the mainstream Sehto attitude, in parts affecting the way the island as a whole has developed away from Kanto and Johto.
