Miscellaneous Sehto information:

After a while, Marcus reaches the public phone. It accepts credit cards of various brands - or, more precisely, the two that are available on Sehto - or small change. Someone's etched 'call free - recipient pays' followed by a specific phone number into the metal casing of the phone, basically granting Marcus all options.

An artificially cheerful, recorded voice remarks: “Hello! And welcome to the Nuberu service - your call is free if the recipient pays. Your call is going through at this moment and we'll connect you as soon as your recipient acce-” - It cuts out abruptly, with a worn-out, tired-sounding voice that is nonetheless recognisable as Catherine's uttering a mildly bewildered sounding: “…gurhm-hm-hullo?” Catherine before coffee. Brai-ai-ai-ains.

[22:46] <Kitten`> There#'s seating for people who want to watch while there's a gym battle right? [22:46] <Dakarai> Nope. [22:47] <Kitten`> Okay. [22:47] <Kitten`> *thinks* [22:47] <Dakarai> The only place that has that is Taqnateh. Keep in mind Sehto is not trainer-friendly.

[PPSC] [22:50] * Dakarai pictures it in her mind's eye. Bottom right, entrance, bottom left, dining room, between them, straight stairs leading up. Living room and bedroom up there. So, no, no office.

[22:56] <Kitten`> I like the fact that she dislikes trainers the most I think :) [22:56] <Dakarai> That's… a constant, throughout the gym circuit. Well, almost. [22:57] <Dakarai> Rose and Tove are exceptions.

<Yarver> “Five klick radius around the gym, one hour; if we catch you, you lose, if you survive the hour - proverbially speaking, of course - you win. You and… Obsidian, is it? Versus myself an Amaranth. Whatever happens, we meet back at the gym in an hour.”

Orexin - Wakefulness??? (Anti-SLP?) Epinephrine (a/k/a Adrenalin) → Suppresses immune system, could make PSN worse? Probably not, but explore. Angiotensinogen and angiotensin → vasoconstriction… could be dangerous?

Glutamate is used at the great majority of fast excitatory synapses in the brain and spinal cord. It is also used at most synapses that are “modifiable”, i.e. capable of increasing or decreasing in strength. Excess glutamate can overstimulate the brain and causes seizures.[citation needed] Modifiable synapses are thought to be the main memory-storage elements in the brain. Excessive glutamate release can lead to excitotoxicity causing cell death.

GABA is used at the great majority of fast inhibitory synapses in virtually every part of the brain. Many sedative/tranquilizing drugs act by enhancing the effects of GABA. Correspondingly glycine is the inhibitory transmitter in the spinal cord.

Acetylcholine is distinguished as the transmitter at the neuromuscular junction connecting motor nerves to muscles. The paralytic arrow-poison curare acts by blocking transmission at these synapses. Acetylcholine also operates in many regions of the brain, but using different types of receptors, including nicotinic and muscarinic receptors.[9] (== Curare was used as a paralyzing poison by South American indigenous people. The prey was shot by arrows or blowgun darts dipped in curare, leading to asphyxiation owing to the inability of the victim's respiratory muscles to contract. The word curare is derived from wurari, from the Carib language of the Macusi Indians of Guyana.[2])
